It sometimes feels, when looking at life objectively and setting emotions aside, that the world is designed to offer us something extraordinary, impactful, and moving—only to take it away without hesitation. This fear of loss becomes deeply ingrained, leaving us clinging tightly to the wonderful things we encounter, almost beyond our control.
In short, paradoxically, our emotions become forced and unnatural as we face fear, unconsciously compromising our true selves and individuality.
In a sense, any newfound joy—whether it’s a person we love, a fulfilling activity, or a meaningful experience—becomes part of who we are, reflecting our sense of being and embedding itself into our personality. Consequently, when we sense that we might lose this newfound joy, we struggle to let go, as it feels like releasing a part of ourselves or the new self we’ve come to cherish in that joy.
How do you balance both forces? Simply put, you can trust that, just like the gentle wind pushing the sail of the sailboat you’ve boarded, life will always carry you forward, with a bright sunrise ahead.
